Rosie is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating the stigma around menstrual health by offering physical support and educational services. Rosie is the brainchild of four University of Oregon freshmen who met in their dorm lounge to find a way to give back to their community. This month they began funding a pilot project through World’s Children at the Balavikasita Sadan orphanage in India. Rosie is providing the girls there with menstrual supplies, education, nutritional supplements, and medical access. The gala will help fund this project. Event: Beaverton Cricket Club Charity Tournament 2016

The Beaverton Cricket Club is hosting the Charity Tournament 2016 to fund improvements in one or more Indian orphanages supported by World’s Children. In 2014 the club held a charity match that raised $2,540 to help pay for a solar photovoltaic system for the Swadhar Home for Children in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh.
